The USIU-Africa Half Marathon is a purpose-driven annual event organized by United States International University–Africa to bring together runners, partners, and the community in support of education and wellness. Launched in 2025 under the theme Miles for Education, the marathon was created to raise scholarship funds for financially challenged students while promoting healthy living and meaningful social impact. OUR JOURNEY sO FAR

2025

inception

Our story begins in 2025 with a dream of creating more than just a race — a movement that brings people together to transform lives through education, wellness, and community impact.

2026

AIMING HIGHER

We got your feedback and this year, we plan to go bigger and better—welcoming more runners, enhancing the race experience, and creating an even more vibrant event atmosphere.

Why us

YOU WON'T JUST BE RUNNING

Beyond competition, the event celebrates community spirit, inclusivity, and collaboration. With multiple race categories designed for both professional athletes and recreational runners, the marathon encourages participation from people of all backgrounds and fitness levels. Funds raised directly contribute to scholarship programs that empower deserving students to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.

Through sport, partnership, and purpose, the USIU-Africa Half Marathon continues to inspire action, strengthen connections, and create lasting impact for future generations.

“Our purpose is to help people and organizations dream bigger, move faster, and build better tomorrows for all.”
